My name's Lo, maker and founder of Alpha Bloom.

Originally from Yorkshire and currently settled in Warwickshire, I'm a self taught embroidery artist with a passion for quilting and upcycling.

The name Alpha Bloom is derived from the idea of strong femininity. I take what's always traditionally been known as "woman's work" and work with delicate vintage fabrics to create modern, one of a kind pieces. I love sourcing vintage household textiles by saving their fate and changing their purpose by creating unique items of clothing. The fabrics I source are typically discarded, deadstock materials which would have likely otherwise ended up in landfill.

The uniqueness of the materials means that each Alpha Bloom creation is truly one of a kind. Along with my clothing designs, I also take commissions for embroidered portraits. You can find out more about them here.
